Lippert Level9: leveling chocks go smart

Lippert Components, Inc. (Lippert™) – one of the leading global suppliers of original equipment and aftermarket accessories for the recreational vehicle (RV) industry – is revolutionizing the world of leveling chocks with the launch of the Level9 system at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. This innovative pair of leveling chocks assisted by a dedicated app marks a breakthrough in the aftermarket, allowing for the perfect leveling of a vehicle in just a few simple steps.

The Level9 chocks are paired with an app for Android and iOS that uses the phone’s gyroscope to simulate a level. Once the vehicle is parked, placing the phone on a flat surface will cause the app to automatically suggest how to adjust the chocks for perfect leveling, saving RV users precious time when pitching up at the campsite.

How it works

The operation is in two phases. The first involves positioning the chocks in front of or behind the wheels, fixing the two orange steps in one of the nine predefined positions, and driving onto the chocks. At this point, the app measures any imbalance and suggests the best position among the nine available to achieve perfect leveling. Then, simply drive off the chocks, reposition the steps as suggested by the app, and drive back on to be perfectly level.

Made from robust polypropylene, the Level9 chocks also stand out for their compact design: despite being only 55cm long, the maximum levelling compensation reaches an impressive 18cm in height, a ratio unmatched by leading competitors. This makes them easy to transport and store.

Level9 is designed in collaboration with Kyle Camping and boasts high-quality German engineering. Subject to rigorous structural analyses and real-world tests, these chocks are designed to ensure durability and long-term resistance. The product is scheduled for commercial release at the beginning of next year, once the production phase is complete.
