The revolutionary Teleco Ultra Comfort 6000 attracted the attention of the German Innovation Award’s jury. It is the world’s first air conditioning unit designed for campervans with a pop-up roof, however, it can also be installed on any type of vehicle up to 8m long, including vans and semi-integrated models.“This prestigious award dedicated to the most innovative solutions underlines Teleco’s commitment to providing cutting-edge products that improve comfort and efficiency in the caravanning sector”, declared Vittorio Simioli, one of the owners of the Teleco Group. “Ultra Comfort 6000 required several years of development and is a product that revolutionises the concept of on-board air conditioning for camper vans, as it allows the installation of air conditioning also in the living space of vehicles with a pop-up roof”. The distinctive feature of Ultra Comfort 6000 is that the compressor is installed inside the vehicle’s engine compartment. This installation makes use of the available space, without modifying in any way the original layout of the basic Stellantis mechanical parts and components. The diffuser is perfectly integrated in the van’s original dashboard. The heat pump technology allows the device to be used as both an air conditioner and as a heater, offering further benefits to camper van owners. The new Teleco air conditioner can be installed on Stellantis vehicles, starting from the Fiat Ducato (Series 7, 8, and 9) to the Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer, and Opel Movano. The German Innovation Award was given to a prototype with the provisional name VANplus 5900. That same product was then further engineered and given the final name Ultra Comfort 6000, featuring some improvements that increased its power and efficiency. |
