● Elias Seppänen (Finland) defends his title

The youngest driver duo of all time caused quite a stir at the Hockenheimring: 16-year-old Tom Kalender and Elias Seppänen (20, Finland) secured their drivers’ title in the ADAC GT Masters racing series. Kalender, who comes from Hamm/Sieg, is currently in the 11th grade at high school and has his sights set on his diploma but winning the ADAC GT Masters racing series in the 550 hp Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the distinctive WEINSBERG livery was quicker.

With his cockpit partner, the Finn Elias Seppänen (20), who even competed as the defending champion, Kalender drove right to the front this season. In the end, third place in the final race of this year’s series on the Hockenheim circuit was enough for the two athletes to finish the 2024 season as winners.

The experienced Landgraf Motorsport team from Gensingen in Rhineland-Palatinate were also very happy: They have already clinched their third drivers’ championship in a row. The two champions are also full of praise. “The Landgraf team did a great job and always provided us with an excellent car,” summarizes Tom Kalender.
Gerd Adamietzki, Sales Director of Knaus Tabbert AG, is also delighted with this success: “We congratulate the two young drivers of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 supported by WEINSBERG on their truly impressive performance. We were delighted that Knaus Tabbert was able to accompany them on their way to the ADAC GT Masters championship with its support.”

The DTM also started its final race of the 2024 season last weekend. British driver Jack Aitken (29) competed for KNAUS this season. He contested the season in a 608 hp Ferrari 296 GT3 from the Emil Frey Racing team, easily recognizable by the prominent KNAUS lettering on a blue background. After a brilliant start in the spring, the experienced racing driver finished the DTM 2024 in 8th place, securing a position in the extremely tightly bunched top ten of this fast, exciting series, which captivates fans with its heated duels and minimal time differences.
